I have a problem with mysql, I'm getting this error: P-733-Lin:/usr/bin # ./mysql_upgrade Looking for 'mysql' in: /usr/bin/mysql Looking for 'mysqlcheck' in: /usr/bin/mysqlcheck Running 'mysqlcheck'... /usr/bin/mysqlcheck: Got error: 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) when trying to connect failed FATAL ERROR: Upgrade failed The reason I did this was that I noticed that my mythtv wasn't working and the response that I got from that list indicated this as a solution. So mysql isn't running, and that means mythtv isn't running. What in Puce is this final error that the upgrade failed? What upgrade? I did a security update, not a package upgrade.
