This is an example page: http://www.fernuni-hagen.de/neuestatistik/applets/Muenzwurf/Muenzwurf.htm How can I get this working? Ummm, but what exactly is the 'example' at the above URL supposed to do/not to do to show that Java applets are not working at your end? BC -- I work to live not live to work. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have no idea what is it supposed to do :-) http://www.meine-erste-homepage.com/java.php# Here Firefox is showing a box with "Click here to download the plugin". Konqueror says "Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm)." Looks like the whole Java runtime environment is not accessible for the browsers. What can I do? I rather doubt it.
What can I do?
Panic? :-) In Edit>Preferences>Content in Firefox, have you allowed Javascript and Java? BC -- I work to live not live to work. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Hi,
What can I do?
Panic? :-)
From Douglas Adams I rather learned "Don't Panic" :-)
In Edit>Preferences>Content in Firefox, have you allowed Javascript and Java?
Yes, both is allowed. I could solve it for Konqueror by telling him that java is in /usr/bin/java in the settings. Where do I make this settings in Firefox? Thanks Karl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Now, this is on *my* setup (GM 11.2): in /usr/lib/browser-plugins there is a symlink (@javaplugin.so) which points to /etc/alternatives/javaplugin which itself is another symlink pointing to where java is located.
