Hi, I just wanted to comment on the logrotate methods used by SuSE 7.2, and why I think they are "DARN STUPID". In /etc/logfiles the following definitions are found: /var/log/httpd/access_log +4096k 644 root.root apache /var/log/httpd/error_log +1024k 644 root.root apache /var/log/httpd/jserv.log +4096k 644 wwwrun.root apache /var/log/httpd/mod_jserv.log +4096k 644 wwwrun.root apache This implies that after rotating the listed logs, logrotate runs /sbin/rcapache restart. Now, I don't know why, but isn't ANYONE running a secure server AND logrotate ? Doing an automatic "rcapache restart" with a secure server WILL FAIL ! *GRMBL* Either the script MUST take care of checking wether -DSSL is defined, or it must not at all run a restart. -tosi
