Hello all, I need help on getting SuSE 8.0 to hardware accelerate my Voodoo4. I noticed that the xf86_glx was missing and I downloaded a copy of it from SuSE and installed it. Ran SuSEconfig and ran the script switch2xf86_glx but there is no hardware acceleration. I can confirm this with the glxinfo and glinfo tools. Both report that I am using the Indirect renderer. I checked the XF86 server log to see if the modules are loading. According to the log, the DRI modules is loaded and is being used. Can anyone give me any ideas? Thanks, Marshall

Sorry, it doesn't help. I don't have personal, I have professional and the packages aren't on it. zgrep glx INDEX.gz only shows xf86glx-devel mmj said on this list that they were omitted. I can't even see the src.rpm files. With those I could have rebuilt the rpms myself. But if they're on personal edition perhaps someone could put them up for download //Anders
download the xf86glx from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/XFree86/XFree86-4.2.0-SuSE/suse73 harry Anders Johansson wrote:
