[SLE] how to kill print job
Hi everyone. How can I stop a long print job I sent to the printer in error? It is not visible in the print queue. Thanks, Steve -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

I'd say it's in the printer's memory at that point, and pulling the power plug from the printer usually works for me. :-) -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Is it really not in the queue? Try `lpq -a' to check all queues. Ciao, Stefan -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
In general, depending on the printer, the print daemon simply takes it off the queue and sends it to the printer. Once the data is accepted into the printer's buffer, the printer daemon does not have control, and you must flush the job from your printer. (Again, I am being very general). Steve Sheriff wrote:
