Dear All After upgrading to 6.4 and sorting out the other stuff I have now turned to the scanner configuration. I've got a Umax S-6E with an Adaptec SCSI card that's AHA1542. When I first ran the setup with sgcheck and modprobe aha1542 everything went well. After starting xscanimage or xsane I get the following error message ....... "floating point error" I was able to run the preview scan but the error message came up when I did the scan to put the image into a file. Anyone suggest what to do with this ? My own suggestion is to use the 6.3 rpms and start again.
