I could be incorrect, but Nagios itself doesn't get compiled for any SQL support. It's the plugins for Nagios that get compiled to support checking SQL services and publishing Nagios events to a SQL database. However, looking in the Nagios packages I see the typical plugins: check_mysql check_pgsql. So that should be enough to get you monitoring those services. They're located under /usr/lib/nagios/plugins with the rest of the collection. I've been considering switching my Nagios setup to utilize the SuSE packages but have yet to make the leap. If you've got any comments on using the SuSE supplied packages from real enterprise use, I'd appreciate any feedback you could provide by emailing me offlist. Thanks and good luck, -John -- Where zen ends, the ass kicking begins.
