I doubt very much it was Mozilla...and which version did you use...I've been using Mozilla under Linux fulltime since 0.8.0 and it's always worked just fine for me. I've used it under Windows2k at work (when the machine is booted ..only for HR intranet crap) and I haven't had any issues.

BTW. I'm not harshing on you about Windows..I'm just find it hard to believe Mozilla is the cause.
I tried Mozilla in MS Windows and it blew away my favorite MS Windows display--Program Manager in reduced format on top of the green screen. I have run this progman display on top of Win95 and win98 for 7 years now, without a problem. Tonite I decided to try Mozilla. I downloaded and installed it. It ran, kind of slowly, and then I couldn't shut it down, it crashed, and then when I gave the machine the 3 finger salute --I guess that's what I did, I don't really remember--progman will no longer display in partial screen. I like to have the progman, with some windows apps below, on the green screen, like DOS, My Computer, Windows Explorer. I beg again, anyone with Windows experience who can help me get this back working, please help--doug

You could have crosslinked files and a screwed up filesystem. You should take a look and make sure ALL files that end in .tmp are gone..if a Windows program..even Windows itself tries to recreate it's .tmp files and there is something already there which wasn't deleted due to improper shutdown..then it can cause all kinds of wanky issues. If you have Norton Utils (if you don't..get them..anyone who runs Windows should have them)..you should run DiskDoctor and Speeddisk on this partition. I do believe that Mozilla can freeze and take Windows down with it...any program in Windows that freezes can take the OS down. But I fear your issues are from the improper shutdown and could be corrected by doing some of the things I suggest above. It's been like 5 years since I used Windows95/98 but since the software hasn't changed..these things should still be valid. -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- "I've never been quarantined.
