Hi: I want to upgrade a server that is working with 7.1 to 7.3... can I do that without lossing my configuration and personal files (mail in /var/spool/mail, home directories, web files in my apache dir, my dansguardian files)...? Or I have to copy all the files, install loosing everything on the disk, and then copy my files back? Thanks, Raul

It's always better to install from scratch. In any upgrade of this kind it's a good idea to make backups; so since you're making the backups anyway you'd might as well install from scratch. (Of course, I'm a hypocrite as I don't make a lot of backups yet; but that's because I don't stand to loose any money from not doing so, and I don't value my time highly when it comes to fiddling with computers.)
