[opensuse] after upgrade, mythtv seems to be unable to kill the screen-lock?
Anyone using mythtv? I've just upgraded a desktop to 12.3, and mythtv is now being interrupted by the screen-lock. I do want screen-locking on this machine, but I also want to allow mythtv to disable/enable it. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (7.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Have you done all the updates/upgrades following the move to 12.3? I had a related 'problem' with vlc which disappeared after doing the first update (I don't use myth - I just start them :-) .) I guess I wasn't expecting any so soon :-) -- Per Jessen, Zürich (7.4°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Well, all depends on whether you simply installed and that's all - without either doing the "zypper" tango or using YaST Package Updater thingie which would also pull in some repos not found in the initial install :-) . For your myth, for example, you would not doubt need packman and even libdvdcss which only show up after doing the update following the install. The repo freeze was at least a week before the general release. There were a couple updates already available on release day. There are dozens available now. I don't know if any relate to your issue. Yeah I know - it's more of a psychological thing. Well, speaking as a practising psychologist I have to ask, "Ce`?!" I am carefully taking notes of this..... :-) BC -- Using openSUSE 12.3 x86_64 with KDE 4.10.1 & kernel 3.8.3-1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
