I'm using Suse 9.1 and 9.0 and trying to do some MySQL database stuff. After months of work, I finally got OpenOffice to play with mysql. Now i cannot modify any table because I get the message that the table is read only. I have set permissions for all the directories and files to permit anyone to read and write still I cannot modify the tables. The error message is consistent with 'table diagnosis is read only' I have tried to unlock tables still no write! Onceupon a time I was able to create those same tables on this machine but that was several updates of SuSE and KDE ago. Yes, I know this is a suse list but the mysql lists dont have a lot of traffic so questions dont get answered very often. Can anyone give me any hints? RTFMing hasn't helped so far. Google didnt get me anything either. TIA, ra
