[opensuse] Claws-Mail crash when using ProtonMail bridge
My MUA is Claws-Mail 3.17.1 from build.opensuse.org/server:mail running on Leap 15 and KDE plasma. I am testing ProtonMail Bridge, and find that CM segfaults when trying to switch folders in my ProtonMail account. The folk at claws-Mail think it's the openSUSE version of libetpan (1.8-lp150.1.2) being out-of-date, and that newer releases have this bug fixed. See this bug report: http://www.thewildbeast.co.uk/claws-mail/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4016 Whom should I contact about this? Regards Bob -- Bob Williams System: Linux 4.18.5-1.g9e91e29-default Distro: Desktop: KDE Frameworks: 5.45.0, Qt: 5.9.4 and Plasma: 5.12.5

Of course. Silly me. There was a bug reported in 2017 that looks similar <https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1070912>, so I've added to that one. Bob -- Bob Williams System: Linux 4.18.5-1.g9e91e29-default Distro: Desktop: KDE Frameworks: 5.45.0, Qt: 5.9.4 and Plasma: 5.12.5

Hi Bob you could also try out a newer libetpan - there is probably one in obs or you could build it yourself. If it works, you can continue testing the protonmail stuff, if it doesn't, you haven't lost anything :-) -- Per Jessen, Zürich (20.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Per, Good idea. I'll take a look. -- Bob Williams System: Linux 4.18.5-1.g9e91e29-default Distro: Desktop: KDE Frameworks: 5.45.0, Qt: 5.9.4 and Plasma: 5.12.5
Hello all

FWIW, I just did a zypper dup --from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/mail/openSUSE_Leap_15.0/ and upgraded my claws-mail installation and my mailfence account is now working on Leap - see DETAILS below. Not too sure if this is a result of the zypper dup update or a mistake configuring my mailfence account - as a result I was just wondering if anyone has a working ProtonMail bridge setup using claws-mail. # DETAILS The following 11 packages are going to change vendor: exim openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail libbsd0 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail libclucene-contribs-lib1 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:search libclucene-core1 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:search libclucene-shared1 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:search libetpan20 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail libspf2-2 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail mutt openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail mutt-doc openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail mutt-lang openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail perl-HTML-Parser openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/server:mail snip.. Does this have anything to do with the subject of this thread, or should it be an entirely new thread? On Wed, 10 Oct 2018 22:35:49 +0200 James PEARSON <pearson45j@gmail.com> wrote:
