[opensuse] Missing possibility to choose Windows at startup
A few snapshots earlier I suddenly could not choose for Windows at startup anymore. I sometimes needs that. At the start of the snapshot DVD 20181002 I could choose for Windows In Windows I deleted all openSUSE partitions. After that I used the same DVD to install Tumbleweed as fresh as possible. After restart I got - to my big surprise - Windows, with no possibility to choose Tumbleweed. Now I start Tumbleweed by inserting the 20181002 DVD and chosing 'Boot from Harddisk', and there I can chose both. How to solve this into a simpler situation? André den Oudsten Boot TW, remove the DVD, then YaST - System - Bootloader. OK OK OK should do

In Bootloader I first changed the 8 seconds in 7. After the first 'OK' trying to generate initrd and after a few seconds falls back to Bootloader. So no second 'OK'. André den Oudsten openSUSE user since the late eighties

Also have a look at syslog or journal - in a terminal do: journalctl --follow then try with yast again. Paste back the lines, or use susepaste site if it is long. Trick: susepaste -n "name or alias" -t "some title" -e XXXXX path/file see man for meaning of "-e". -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)
