Did you check the MD5 sum after you downloaded the ISO image to be sure it is not corrupt? Or, k3b could be telling that it does not recognize the media in your DVD tray.
Thanks Mark

I'm sorry, I should have specified the BOXED DVD set media used. Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

And no, I'm not making copies of the boxed set. We are having DL-DVD media issues and I'm just investigating what media we should be using. Hence I tried to see what Opensuse was written to as that media always seems flawless. Maybe http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm and/or http://www.digitalfaq.com/guides/media/index.htm would be instructive. Yea, I had just been there when I got curious as to what opensuse was using for the boxed sets. Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I assume they "press" the discs, not "burn" them, so the ID is irrelevant, at least to you. Try "dvd+rw-mediainfo". - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
