I have changed permissions on everything I could and there is no writing to the same\ cdrw which worked in 9.1 on the same computer with identical hardware configuration. All references I could find in saved messages and on google indicate there is a mythological program called k3bsetup. kpackage, pin, yast and which DO NOT find it, no matter how I spell or hyphenate it. is k3b broken out of the box?? -- ___ _ _ _ ____ _ _ _ | | | | [__ | | | |___ |_|_| ___] | \/

resmgr controls which devices you can access with k3b, not the unix permissions What do you get if you run /sbin/resmgr list as the user trying to burn?

is k3b broken out of the box?? -- Karl,
It used to be right in the configuration menu of k3b itself. I just downloaded the very latest version (12.3-6) and I can't seem to find it now. Don't know if this version works or not. Haven't tried it yet. Bob S.
