According to a SuSE add in c't, there will be two versions, Personal and Professional. The first one has 3 CDs, 3 newbie-compatible handbooks (installation, configuration, applications) and 60 days of installation support. The Professional version comes with 6 CDs or 1 DVD, 4 manuals and 90 days of installation support. Personal'll cost 89 DM, Professional 129 DM, the update SuSE Linux --> Professional 79
A small correction: the Professional Version comes with 6 CDs _and_ the DVD.
What's going on the DVD, and why? Must be something really big or another CD would suffice.
They bundle 6 CDs with a DVD for obvious reasons. I would never buy a DVD version because what happens if I have to install Linux _quickly_ on a machine without DVD drive? I am fscked. But if I am purchasing the 6 CD set in the past I could never make use of the DVD offer for the few DVD machines out there and install it quicker. Therefore SuSE was smart to bundle the 6 CD set with the DVD one to give people more options on how to install Linux in the best possible way for whatever setup a machine has. mk ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
