Mine isn't. Lilo v 21.5 fixed the problem on one of my machines. Just starting to figure out the other one. Nick -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

I had the same problem. I checked the reiserFS FAQ (http://devlinux/com/projects/reiserfs/) Q: Can reiserfs be used as a root partition? A: Yes, but you must mount /boot with the -notail option. Works like a charm now.... -- ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Jon Tillman LINUX USER: #141163 ICQ: 4015362 tillmanj@sccoast.net http://tillman.freehosting.net ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

I had the same problem. I checked the reiserFS FAQ (http://devlinux/com/projects/reiserfs/)
Q: Can reiserfs be used as a root partition? A: Yes, but you must mount /boot with the -notail option.
Works like a charm now....
Just to anticipate the next question (because it happened to me), also from the reiserFS FAQ Q: I mounted / -notail but lilo still doesn't work. A: Copy the files in /boot and then move the copies into the place of the originals. This will get rid of the tails. The -notail option only affects newly written files. -- ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Jon Tillman LINUX USER: #141163 ICQ: 4015362 tillmanj@sccoast.net http://tillman.freehosting.net ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
