Dependency errors with usr-local-bin apt sources and Evolution
I recently added usr-local-bin and suser-jogley to my /et/apt/sources list wanting to install the most recent evolution 2.0. However, I'm getting the following dependency errors when attempting to do so: evolution: Depends: gtkhtml2 but it is not going to be installed Depends: libsoup but it is not going to be installed Depends: orbit2 but 2.10.0-3 is to be installed Depends: libbonoboui but 2.6.0-3 is to be installed Depends: libcamel.so.0 Depends: libeconduit.so.0 Depends: libegroupwise.so.4 Depends: libemiscwidgets.so.0 Depends: libeselectnames.so.0 Depends: libeshell.so.0 Depends: libeutil.so.0 Depends: libevolution-a11y.so.0 Depends: libevolution-addressbook-a11y.so.0 Depends: libevolution-calendar-a11y.so.0 Depends: libevolution-importer.so.0 Depends: libevolution-mail-importers.so.0 Depends: libevolution-widgets-a11y.so.0 Depends: libgcrypt.so.7 Depends: libgnutls.so.10 Depends: libsoup-2.2.so.7 How do I go about solving this? Doesn't appear that these packages (at least most of them) are available via apt. -- Cheers, Trey "All my friends and I are crazy. That's the only thing that keeps us sane." Many of these files are available in usr-local-bin but you may be getting conflicts - for example, if you also have gnome and suser-gbv in there.

I do. My /etc/apt/sources.list is as follows: rpm ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/ SuSE/9.1-i386 security base kde gnome xorg mozilla samba3 ximian suser-rbos suser-guru suser-gbv suser-tcousin suser-sbarnin suser-jogley suser-scorot suser-ollakka funktronics packman packman-i686 kernel-of-the-day wine suse-people suse-projects kde3-stable kde-unstable usr-local-bin rpm-src ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/ SuSE/9.1-i386 security base kde gnome xorg mozilla samba3 ximian suser-rbos suser-guru suser-gbv suser-tcousin suser-sbarnin suser-jogley suser-scorot suser-ollakka funktronics packman packman-i686 kernel-of-the-day wine suse-people suse-projects kde3-stable kde-unstable usr-local-bin Should I remove suser-gbv AND gnome. Will this by itself help (besides going forward) or will I need to remove installed packages from these repositories as well? Thanks. -- Cheers, Trey Surprise due today. Also the rent.
