I apologize for not sending complete information.
Not a problem. By the way, this list is a bit goofy. It doesn't have a reply-to set to the list, so you ended up replying to me directly. The list manager seems to have messed something up and there are constantly endless arguments about it. If you use KMail or Cotse (which I've been switching to), then you can reply to list, otherwise the mail client will default to replying to the sender.
--> 1. What version of SUSE? Are you running 10.1 or earlier?
Yes, it is 10.1
--> 2. What desktop manager (KDE, Enlightenment, Blackbox...) are you using?
I am using KDE
--> 3. What is "not working" about it? Do you have the card detected in YaST? Is your other NIC working (the wired one)?
My other NIC is working and I think YaST detected the card. As a matter of fact is is showed in my hardware configuration.
Also I access the configuration and manually typed needed information (ip, gw, wep enable, password, etc - Im not using dhcp for wireless).
If I type 'ifconfig' only eth0 and lo is listed.
Okay, that is good news. Open a console window. You should have an icon in your quick menu, if not it is in Geeko > Run Application > konsole Type su and your password to change to root. Type: /sbin/ifdown eth0 That will disable the wired card. Type: /sbin/ifup eth1 That should enable the wireless card. You can then type iwconfig to see how things are going. If you don't have it already setup, run kinternet in the system tray to start/stop your cards. http://www.novell.com/products/suselinux/mobility.html HTH!!
--> 4. What is your internet connection? LAN > DSL/Cable?
This laptop is connected to a linksys wireless router (BEFW11S4) which is working fine. I know that because when booting with my Windows partition everything is working fine. This router is connected to my broadband ISP.
