I am using kernel 2.4.12 with a reiser fs and nfs server& client built-in kernel , not as module. i try it with different versions of kernels and i find the same problem i have the /home exported to a machine that have the same configuration in hard as the machine that exports the directory and with the same vers. of kernel and same options. In the second machine ( the one that gets the /home from the machine that exports ) if a try to move large files ( 30-40 mb or more ) it begins downloading at good ratio, but few seconds after, it begins to down the ratio going in local network at 40 kbs/sec when the normal is 2000kb/s or more When im downloading the file or uploading , the kernel say this Oct 16 12:33:00 xxxxx kernel: nfs: server xxxxx1 not responding, still trying Oct 16 12:33:00 xxxxx kernel: nfs: server xxxxx1 OK Oct 16 12:34:05 xxxxx kernel: nfs: server xxxxx1 not responding, still trying Oct 16 12:34:05 xxxxx kernel: nfs: server xxxxx1 OK I think it isnt a network problem because i make all the possible tests between the two machines and it seems all ok ( network card , pings , etc.. ) Trying to copy a archive from xxxxx to xxxxx1 it have the same prob. So , the prob is in the machine that gets the home exported, but what is the prob? I dont know what to do,maybe its a hard problem ?? I hope anything could help me here Thanx all
It seems no one here on SLE is familiar with this. The reiserfs mailing list, however, has been dealing with knfs and reiserfs issues for months now. Do a search on recent threads for this on http://www.namesys.com and post to the reiserfs list. Sorry that's all I could help with... On 16 Oct 2001, Felipe Blanco wrote:
