[SLE] glxriva.rpm and xfree86-3.3.5
Do I still need to install the glxriva.rpm package if I've installed the Xfree86-3.3.5? Isn't the glx support now included in X? thanks, rimez -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Yes. But these are different things. X now support GLX extensions, but you need to have the correct GLX module for your video card. Since the SVGA server supports quite a lot of cards, this has been modularized. glxriva is the special mesa module that supports the 3D hardware acceleration.
