I'm currently downloading both the 32 & 64 bit ISOs. One is coming in at about 552 KB/s and the other at about 553. That's over 1.1 MB/s or 9 Mb/s. My cable modem has a maximum download of about 10 Mb/s (speed tests generally show 9.8 Mb/s). Yes, it is redirecting to cdn.novell.com which is hosted with Akamai. I was able to download the i586 ISO at approx 5 Mb/sec, which according to the calculator is 40 megabits. --- cut ---- Wow... In here the best speed I have only 50-100kbps.. Where are you guys access ? Data center ? -ARZ™-

I'm at home, where my internet connection is much better than at work. I have a 10 Mb/s cable modem here.
Brighthouse provides 16/2 locally, central Indiana, and AT&T knocked on my door yesterday announcing local fiber an 18/1.6, which interests me, but only interests. I am presently seeding 11.1 x86_64 @ 100mb, since 11am yesterday. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I feel your pain. I can remember the days before cable when I would download mandrake 7.0 -7.2 over a 28.8 modem 3.5 days and you just prayed that you didn't lose power or take a phone hit. It still take 8.5 + hours with 1M cable. I currently have x86-64 installing. After a very full package selection it showed 34 minutes of install time left. I've got about 20 of that left. -- David C.
