[opensuse] Home & End button @ command prompt
Dear All, I need advise how to make Home and End button to be active at command prompt (BASH ?) If I am in vi editor, the buttons can be use. Cursor move to the beginning of line if I press Home button and I press End button cursor move to the end of line. However, it does not work when I am at command prompt. How / where can I change the setting? Is it in the /etc/profile? Thanks a lot for your kind help. It works fine with default keyboard layout. That seems to be a bug so report it in: http://bugzilla.novell.com For more information see: http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs -- Regards Rajko, openSUSE Wiki Team: http://en.opensuse.org/Wiki_Team People of openSUSE: http://en.opensuse.org/People_of_openSUSE/About -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hmm... it is strange. I have tested for 3-4 times on different box, got same result. It is OpenSuSE 11.1. Wong -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You are looking for $HOME/.inputrc. See /etc/inputrc for an example. Steffen -- Das Nichtrauchen entfernt uns von der Zivilisation und setzt den Mann mit seinem Dackel gleich. -- J. I login as root. Is it /root/.kbd/.keymap_sv? Thanks Wong -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
