[opensuse] Where can I download the kernel source rpm for 10.3?
Hello I have just recently upgraded to OpenSuSE 10.3 and would like to install the kernel source so I can start building the custom modules. I have not been able to find this package. I have look in the oss-src repository; http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.3/repo/src-oss/suse/src/linux-k.... It appear only the header are available. Where is can I download the kernel source package? Thank you Aaron -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hmm, kernel source is part of the distro, I thought it was installed by default - at least I see kernel sources on every single suse box I've installed. If not, it should be pretty easy to go into yast software management and search for kernel to find the kernel source package. You don't want to install the kernel-source.src.rpm, which contains the vanilla kernel sources and the patches from which opensuse built the distro rpms for the kernel+modules, and the patched kernel source. Install kernel-source.rpm, as explained in the other thread ... It is not in the source, but the binary repository.
