If it is somewhere in your $HOME/.fonts, so I'm Sorry. I don't use Gnome. But there is certainly a configuration tool to add user specific fonts in Gnome. Similar to the Font-Installer in KDE Control Center. Rgds, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Have you tried the command: fc-cache -fv Regards, Chua -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hans, are you running nautilis from your user account, or from a root login? I can guarantee that without changing things, a nautilus process running with a user ID other than root will not have permission to do what you are trying to do. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Copying the fonts to ~/.fonts is also possible, of course it makes the
fonts only available to the user with that home directory.
Running
fc-cache -v ~/.fonts
is a good idea but even without that it should already work.
