this will fix it (as root) ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver /usr/lib ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xscreensaver/config/ /etc/xscreensaver

The screensavers he is referring to are the KDE ones, not the Xscreensavers mentioned in your reference. There have been posts on the suse-kde list about this problem. Seems the kdeartwork3 rpm, probably others as well, are not being compiled on a 9.1 setup. A simple recompile of kdeartwork3 source rpm on your system will fix the Xscreensavers without doing the links. The KDE screensavers require a bit more as they are not even configured to compile. They are there, but alterations in the .diff file need to be made to get them to compile.
