Fw: [SLE] System crash on ASUS K8N-DL w/ SuSE 10.0 AMD64
Dimych,
After BIOS level 1004 NV Raid controller works fine under linux (I would say even better that Slilicon Image). I do not use it though - configured the system way before they had fixed bugs in their BIOS
This is interesting, I upgraded to BIOS level 1007, but still got erratic NV raid behavior.
Stuart, Are you positive that it's the NV RAID problem? Currently I'm using both NVidia and Silicon and both seem working fine even under heavy load. I had problems with ReiserFS though, but after switching to XFS I have no complains

By the way, did you try SuSE-AMD64 list? Probably you'll get more help there... Dmitry
Thanks for the tip. I will post some of these symptoms there to see what feedback I get. Stuart On Saturday 21 January 2006 23:38, Dimych wrote:

Dimych, In fact I am running reiserfs on both the raid and the single drive. What behavior did to notice with reiserfs? Thanks Stuart On Saturday 21 January 2006 22:06, Dimych wrote:
