I have read the recent post of many laptop questions so I figured I would post my own for help :-). I run a NEC Versa 6030H with a Zircom ethernet adapter. I want to get rid of windows that is running and install Suse 6.1 which is the only distr. I have right now :-(. Has anybody got this to work, or is there any problems I should look out for? If that's really Xircom, not Zircom, there are a range of pcmcia cards supported in the pcmcia utils. I haven't tried pcmcia from 6.1, but it won't hurt to give it a go. Pcmcia support is kernel-specific, a different pcmcia_cs will have to be obtained if you upgrade the kernel later. Details on which version is applicable can be found in Changes in the kernel source docs (/usr/src/linux/Documentation/Changes). Note that under linux the card services dynamically load & unload the drivers, none of that M$ silliness of stopping/starting services manually. On Sat, 4 Mar 2000, Robert Lyons wrote:
