Hello Stephane I own an a7v133 with that problem (bios revision 1005a). But from what I found on the net, it affects both a7v and a7v133. Only the a7v has some older bios revisions without the problem (I'm sure of version 1003), all a7v133 models are affected. What temps are your running at? Kind regards
It seems that it's the combination of Asus motherboard/Atholon processor that causes overheating. Does anyone know if other brands of motherboards have the same problem with Athlon processors? Paul
Although I don't know of any others, I will say I have had NO problems with a 1ghz T-bird on a TYAN board since January. don On Tue, 18 Sep 2001, Paul Abrahams wrote:

I have the asus a7v at home running a duron 850, temp is abt 40 or so an it runs idle quiet a bit. also have this same mb at work with duron 750 running windows 2000 an it runs abt 356 to 40 or so, so i do not see any problems here with high temps. also have an athlon 1.4 running on an micro star K7T266 Pro motherboard. the temp for this machine for cpu is abt 41 idle an when i had the seti running on it its runs abt 45 or so I have a dual orb fan on this machine that has 2 fans spinning in opposite directions.
