Re: [opensuse] Wide Print Dialog in KPDF
Hello, I have a problem with the latest KDE update on 10.2 (x86_64), namely kdebase3-3.5.5-125.1. As reported by someone else on the list, the KPrinter dialog becomes very, very wide if I click on its "Options" button. The person who already reported the bug mentioned a cure: deleting the kdeprint preference file did the trick for him. Well, it doesn't solve the problem for me... I started from a clean OpenSUSE and KDE install, and the problem wasn't there before the last kdebase3 update. I deleted everything related to kdeprint in .kde/share and restarted my session. Any other idea? Thanks for any help, -- Thibaut Cousin http://www.thibaut-cousin.net

We fixed it already, the next online update that we do for kdebase3 will contain the fix. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227465 Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

He'll still be waiting. I have that one installed, and the print dialog is still 3 screens wide. No mention of that bug in the changelog either. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I just checked my kprinterrc, and got an idea. There was an option DialogReduced which was set to false. I opened kprinter again, clicked on Options button, and I could at least resize it closer to normal. Opening the Options again causes it to go 3 screens wide again, so this is just a workaround until the fixed kdebase packages are available. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
