[opensuse] Problem with 8GB DVD mounted with UDF filesystem
Hello, a recently bought DVD ( from Heise Verlag) with approx 8GB is mounted with UDF fs : ...UDF-fs INFO UDF: Mounting volume 'nameofdvd', timestamp 2012/12/06 12:24 (1078) The problem appears when reading the disc - it takes ages to e.g. make a md5sum list of all files on this DVD (on a quite fast machine with 4 core CPU). Is there a way to speed up a UDF mount on a SuSE 12.1 system ? Or some kind of cached reading which makes the whole process faster?
