Anyone know of a decent ICQ client for Linux? I use kicq under KDE2, which works, just about. But it leaves a lot to be desired in the UI areas! Such is alpha software. Are there any better ones? Freshmeat brings up a few, but rather than trying them all I thought I'd ask for a recommendation.

I have used this client for a couple years..it's nice. * Derek Fountain (derekfountain@yahoo.co.uk) [010224 15:52]: -->Anyone know of a decent ICQ client for Linux? Has anyone tried the SuSE firewall in 7.1? I tried it and found that it is non-functional. There seems to be a problem with the file permissions in /etc/rc.config.d and possibly there are some missing files too. I checked the SuSE update site and found no updates for this firewall. Damon Register
I've had no problems like that setting SuSE firewall in 7.1 using kernel 2.2.18. Did you try it on kernel 2.4? -Kastus On Sat, Mar 03, 2001 at 11:58:13AM -0500, Damon Register wrote:

What error messages are you getting when you do a:
/sbin/rcfirewall restart The messages I was getting were about permission denied and some files not found. I was going to write down the messages for you and I thought I would check the firewall.rc.config once more and I found the problem. The #$%#% editor that I had used (don't remember which one now) to configure it seems to have a nasty habit of wrapping lines that it thinks are too long and those are lines I never touched. This resulted in comment lines getting a piece wrapped to a new line without a # comment character. I found several places where this happened and fixed them. The firewall is working fine now. It seems that your request for more information led me to the solution. Thanks
