Good Day; I have accomplish a clean installed version 8.1 All went well as usual w/ the SuSe new distributions. I have one interesting problem in which, I am sure, the list can shed some light on. I installed mysql off the installation disk. When I went to use mysqladmin it could not find the command. I looked in all the usually places for it. I even did a search on my hard drive and came up empty. So I have tried to use YAST to uninstall and re-install and mysqladmin is still not available. Can anyone shed some light on how I can get this installed on the computer? I have never seen this happen. I thought it gets installed when installing mysql. Thanks for all your help in advance. bob
I went a head and did a manual install and everything is working correctly. I am still pondering over why I could not get YAST to install the package correctly. Does anyone have and thoughts on this. Have a great one bob On Thursday 17 October 2002 02:13, robert wrote:

Check the install log when Yast is done. There must be a dependency error or something out of whack. I did the fresh install and picked mysql, and it worked and started during bootup without intervention. Chris Geske LIMS Manager Northern Lake Service, Inc. ph: 715-478-2777 email: lims@newnorth.net
