This is unlikely because: a) to run XP Xen uses Full-virtualization via Vanderpool, which is slower than VMware. Xen cannot use para-virtualization in this case. b) VMware 6 also has para-virtual capabilities. Also, There is VirtualBox, which delivers the fastest ever XP experience. Try it.
