char-major-116 is used for alsa sound support It's no problem to get this message. There are 2 sound systems available under linux. The OSSFree, which is what comes in the kernel, and ALSA which is what suse supports. You need to choose which sound system is best for your card. If you want to stop the message, find out where you are trying to start the alsa sound system and stop it. Or setup alsa properly for your card. You could try putting this in modules.conf alias char-major-116 off or just comment the line out -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
