[opensuse] kate/kwrite crashing on save every time, are there any debugsource/debuginfo packages for Factory?
KDE4 Devs, List: kate/kwrite are now crashing on every 'save'. Thankfully the file is written before the crash, but I need to fix this. When the crash occurs, drkonqi is activated, but output is worthless without the debug packages. Are these available for the Factory kde44 packages? I have looked through the directories and can't find any... -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. If by 'Factory KDE44 packages' you mean packages from KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop, then that repository itself includes the debug packages, if you mean openSUSE:Factory, then there's a separate debug which I think can be added from the Yast module (if not, look under http://download.opensuse.org/debug). If you run the application in gdb, it will give you the exact zypper commands to install anything that could be needed. I hope we will find the time to implement direct support for this in DrKonqi in time for 11.3. -- Lubos Lunak openSUSE Boosters team, KDE developer l.lunak@suse.cz , l.lunak@kde.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Just for reference, was this family of bugs then? (KDirWatch crashes) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=226788 I just started experiencing this today, and after trying to figure out which bug it was, was just about to send an email asking whether we could backport a fix, good to know it has been done :) Regards, Tejas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The buildservice seems to be stalled though. At least https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor?project=KDE%3AKDE4%3AFactory%3ADe... does not show any progress. So it might take some time before the packages with the fix are built and published.
