Whenever I start Firefox 1.5 in SuSE 10, I get a dialog box that it finds
the beagle indexer in the extensions folder:
file:///usr/lib/browser-extensions/firefox/beagle.xpi
This contains a warning about malicious code, and asks whether to cancel or
"Install Now", but it is never installed.
it is just annoying and I could simply remove it, but I was wondering if
anyone has actually installed it with FF 1.5.

What version of beagle do you have installed? More recent versions from both myself and SUSE unpack the .xpi correctly and make it available. (They also make it a subpackage called beagle-firefox) -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org Packages for SUSE: http://usr-local-bin.org/rpms Make Poverty History: http://makepovertyhistory.org

(They also make it a subpackage called beagle-firefox) Thanks. Not an issue for me, but I did need to upgrade firefox.
