-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 In one machine, running Leap 15.2, Firefox does not display. It runs, asks what profile to start, but never opens. I have just updated the machine. I can open it in safe mode. It asks if I want to refresh the profile, I say yes, and it opens. It keeps my tabs. Add ons are gone (there was only one, an add blocker). I close it and try to start it normally, but does not. I have to kill it. Gone through this three or four times. What is going on? How do I find out? Video is Intel. I try to create a new profile. Dialog pops up, says to click next, but the buttons are half way out the bottom of the window and I can not read them. I try to rename the resulting profile, but does not obey the keys to type a new name. I manage to delete it. Create new profile again, this time the next key displays properly. I have to hit it twice. Try to rename it, impossible. Nevertheless, that new profile fails to display, I have to kill it. Trying to downgrade firefox from 91 to 78. Says I have to create a new profile because bookmarks have been migrated :-( (does it create a backup of the profile when it migrates?) But at least it runs. Maybe I can find the list of opened tabs somewhere in the old profile. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. And what would I look for in there? It is a configuration file which looks normal. There is also a XXX.default-esr78 directory that might to be a backup of YYY.default. Mmm, no, it is not, date-time is now. The "YYY.default" dir only contains a 0 bytes file named ".parentlock" There is another "ZZZ.default-1634986262584" with same contents. And another "RRR.default-1634986471156" which seems to contain the normal files. [Profile2] Name=default-esr78 IsRelative=1 Path=XXX.default-esr78 [Profile0] Name=default IsRelative=1 Path=RRR.default-1634986471156 Default=1 Nothing explains why firefox runs, but does not display the main window. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
