First configure your machine for graphical logon (KDE or XDM) with yast. (This basically makes the machine goto runlevel 3 after boot.) If you don't wan't X on the console you must edit /usr/lib/X11/xdm/Xservers. Comment out the line that reads something like ':0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :0 vt07' by putting a # in front of it (or remove the line). Next you must allow remote connects to xdm/kdm. Edit the file '/usr/lib/X11/xdm/Xaccess' and uncomment the line '!* #no host can get a login window' by removing the '!' character at the beginning of the line. If you are on a public network you might want to replace the '*' with something more restrictive. * allows access from any machine. You need to restart xdm/kdm to take the changes into effect.
