I need to report a KDE (I think) bug that crashes the PC. SuSE 9.3 HP Proliant ML330 G3 The PC has crashed two times now with: (partial) May 30 09:41:39 pc5 kernel: CPU: 0 May 30 09:41:39 pc5 kernel: EIP: 0060:[<c01f3757>] Tainted: P U VLI May 30 09:41:39 pc5 kernel: EFLAGS: 00010246 (2.6.11.4-20a-smp) May 30 09:41:39 pc5 kernel: EIP is at get_kobj_path_length+0x27/0x40 Which appears to be a KDE bug. Went to bugzilla.novell.com but 9.3 pro is not one of the options. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge

Upon what are you basing that? The 'k' in "...kobj..." refers to the kernel, not KDE. KDE is user-level software. I cannot crash the machine, though conceivably it could tickle a kernel or driver bug that does, but only kernel-mode code can cause the machine to crash.
