[opensuse] 3pg files on chromium
Just wanted to have a look at cctv takes from our local traffic police. Chromium did not show anything apart from a message that it could not show the cctv pictures. Looking into the details it seems that these traffic files are in .3pg format which chromium does not seem to be read. Googled around and found that this format is not without its problems. No solution on the web. Could somebody show me the way to start playing 3pg files. I get a player, but it just shows black with some sliders. I use Firefox. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. I was able to watch: CCTV Monitoring Jalan Raya Provinsi Bali without problem. It uses flash player. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Mmmmm.. are you sure about that? I just tested it on Windows 8.1 using Chrome, and it's clearly using/requesting Quicktime as the browser plugin on that OS. Flash is installed on the Windows VM I tested on, and it definitely didn't try to use Flashplayer... at least not in the testing I did. Nor did it try to use Flashplayer when I tried it in openSUSE using Firefox (Flash is installed) and Chromium (Pepper is installed). Looked into the little window which should show the traffic video and inspected the element. It says among others after mentioning the camera position, measurements of the video: loop="true" controler="true" autoplay="true" pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/"> Have flash and all the codecs but no pictures of the traffic cameras. -- Linux User 183145 using KDE4 and LXDE on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 13.1 (i586) Kernel: 3.13.3-15.g7ccf96b-default KDE Development Platform: 4.12.2 23:16pm up 2 days 5:02, 3 users, load average: 2.10, 1.81, 1.52 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I do have the quicktime plugin installed but I also have flash blocked. When a flash video wants to play in my mozilla I have to click on the ">" in the window to start the video. And yes I am seeing the vehicle traffic in the "little window". http://susepaste.org/92471901 http://susepaste.org/37330728 -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

After loading a couple more CCTV sites it shows it is using jwplayer, don't know why. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
