Do a search for ssh at freshmeat.net and you will find ssh rpms at ftp://utopia.hacktic.nl/pub/crypto/linux/redhat/i386/ Stefan

I don't know about the version number, but you might check ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/6.3/i386.de/full-names/src for the source rpm and then build it (rpm --rebuild ssh.spm). I would not recommend installing a 6.3 binary on a 6.2 system because of the difference in glibc (2.1.2 vs. 2.1.1, IIRC). -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Just because it is in the SuSE 6.3 tree doesn't mean it is more up-to-date. If it's a major upgrade (or even a minor one) SuSE will sometimes create an rpm for each version. They are all the same program, just compiled for the different distro. I would say, though, that often SuSE doesn't create rpms for the older distributions, so don't *always* expect to find the latest.
