hi i am trying to setup dhcp server for ltsp . My server/host ip address is 192.68.0.1 how do i configure dhcpserver yast2 dhcp-server donent take configration from host/network is there any way to setup nework automatically or do i have to confiure dhcp-server mannually what is subnet what is netmask thx

I suggest that you go to the Linux Documentation Project site http://tldp.org and read the DHCP mini-HOWTO information. The stuff that is in Yast (which is read from the /etc/dhcpd.conf) is just some samples. You'll have to change them to suit your needs. However without knowing the syntax and possibilities of dhcpd.conf it's almost impossible to do that. -Ti

The LTSP documentation contains some very good examples for DHCP configuration as well. You will also need to know the boot file, default router, range, root path, etc. for your DHCP config, but this is included in the examples in the LTSP docs. HTH, Louis
