I want to print from my laptop (Suse 6.4) to a remote printer in other location (RedHat 6.0), between us there is a WAN. I setup a queue pointing to the remote server, but I get stuck here.... The status is allways "Waiting for queue in 192.168.9.18 to be enable...". The server`s host.lpd has my name and my IP is in host. I have telneted the port 515 and I get some garbage saying "...EPSON_adm01..." (this is the queue name...). I thought it was something with my printcap so i changed the server IP to one here in my location.. and it worked OK!!!! So, the only thing I can think of is that the slow link bothers... We are 60ms away...(pinging). Is there any way to print with such link? Or I`m missing something? Thanks in advance. _______________________ Matias A.
