Mozilla nightly and Java plugin problems?
I am having a problem with the latest Mozilla nightly and Java Plugins. When I hit www.javasoft.com I get prompted to install the Java Plugin. I have been symlinking the plugin to mozilla like this ln -s /usr/local/java2 /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/ . This time I told it to go and fetch the plugin anew to freshen things up. After the plugin was downloaded and installed I restarted mozilla and returned to javasoft whereupon I was prompted to install the plugin. I removed the /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/java2 from the mozilla directory are restored my symlink. Same thing. Anybody else? Steve
Try making a link like this: (ben@zeus) plugins> ls -la libjavaplugin_oji.so libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /opt/netscape6/plugins/java2/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- Kernel 2.2.18-6 : Mutt 1.3.12i : KDE 2.1 Beta2 : Peace of Mind ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.

Ben, Obviously I didn't ask a hard enough question. That worked great! Thanks. Now, do you have RealPlayer working with Mozilla? I tried for hours to figure that out. Steve
