I hope it's OK with you that I put this back on the list. I'm not an expert with samba and network printing. It is strange that inetd dies when you print. Does this happen when you print from the local box or just when you print from the network? Also, do you have control over IP Addresses on your network? Is it possible that two machines have the same IP Address? Can you shut down the Linux box, or unplug the network cable and try to ping the IP Address from another box? HTH, Steve
