Our master node (SuSE 9.0) was running OK then it had to be turned off. When it came up again postfix, cron, nscd, and xdm could not be started. Below is part of the relevant messages from boot.msg. As root, the 'ls' command on /var/spool gives Permission denied for every single file in that directory. What the heck is going on here???
