I had been able to do nfs mount and I suspect the problem is in a script that got updated when I last applied updates to 6.3. I am not sure which packages or script files to look at, any help would be appreciated. I think this is a bug in the default config for 6.3. It seems that the default settings in /etc/rc.config are to use the user space NFS server, but the package with these tools in is NOT installed. Try adding the package "nfsserv" from series "n" and then running rcnfsserver restart Peter.

tart yast (now "hinting" from my german screen... ) choose "network configuration" then "configure network services" answer a few question, preferebly with yes, particulary the one about portmap ;-) Juergen

That was the first thing I tried and it does not fix the problem. On Fri, 25 Feb 2000, you wrote:

A friend of mine said that the literal meaning is "drawers", like underwear. Nobody uses it that way anymore, he said but he might have been pulling my leg. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jerome Krough <jkrough@cojones.chem.lsu.edu> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 08, 2000 9:15 AM Subject: RE: [SLE] NFS mount problem

cojones is colloquial spanish for the english equivalent word "balls". And I'm NOT talking about the ones they use in football or tennis. D At 06:30 PM 3/8/00 -0600, Patrick K Moorman wrote:
