[opensuse] Problem with minmizing windows.
Hi. I run a 11.0, and have problems when I minimize open windows. Normally they would be visible an ready for being maximized again for the panel bar. But mine is not at the present quite sure due to unpleasent handling from my side. I can open the minimized windows using ALT-TAB, but would like to again be able to maximize windows from the panel bar. How is that being made ? /Erik -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Right click the kicker panel and select add applet to panel and you will be presented with a list of possible applets. Select Taskbar applet, that is what you need. Sorry, I have not explained myslef correct. I know the way of adding applets to the panel. The problem is, that if you have a window open and click on the stroke in the upper right corner, the window will be minimized. After minimizing a window, it will be moved to the panel, where it can be for instance maximized or closed. Have I explained myself ok this time ? /Erik -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The taskbar applet is where the minimized programs are displayed if your taskbar applet is not there you won't see minimized programs. If you right click panel and select remove applet you will see a list of applets you have. If taskbar isn't one of them then that is your problem. If taskbar is there try the configure panel option which enables configuration of the taskbar. Your problem is either caused by no taskbar or wrongly configured taskbar. There is no taskbar applet in the remove list therefore you have no taskbar. Select add applet and add taskbar applet and your problem will be solved. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I once had my system wrecked like yours when I was alpha testing 11.0 so I felt your pain. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
