[opensuse] Window reaction settings??
Hi, I was really brave and I have my wife using Suse11, but I have a bit of a prob. I've enabled Compiz and effects, which I believe was working OK, but recently, the windows have started behaving strangely... (I think she may have been playing, but of course, denies it!!) The following is when using Konqueror: When you hover the mouse over the 'normal' close button (top-right X), the button gets a red border, and the behaviour is not really predictable - it may close the window, but more often than not, it'll bring another konqueror window to the top, and then can't bring the previous back on top. The minimise and restore buttons are not behaving 'normally', either. Have temporarily fixed it by turning Compiz off, but that's a no-no as well, 'cause the main thing she likes about suse/compiz is using the Desktop cube. Have tried turning of stuff and setting window decoration/behaviour to defaults, but nothing seems to fix it.. Ideas?? Probably something really basic, but I can't find it... Thanks in advance. John, Two thoughts: (1) Stop compiz (kwin --replace &), then delete (or move) ~/.config/compiz/compizconfig/Default.ini and then restart compiz so that it starts with a clean slate; or (2) Just uninstall compiz and then reinstall it with one-click: http://en.opensuse.org/Compiz_Fusion Good luck. -- David C. John,
Two thoughts:
(1) Stop compiz (kwin --replace &), then delete (or move) ~/.config/compiz/compizconfig/Default.ini and then restart compiz so that it starts with a clean slate; or
(2) Just uninstall compiz and then reinstall it with one-click:

Good luck.
Thanks for that, David. Will give it a try! John. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
